Looking for a local corn maze or hayride in the greater metropolitan Des Moines area of Iowa? Scroll down this page and you will see the
all of those in the greater metropolitan Des Moines area of Iowa, sorted by county. Some are huge corn mazes with hayrides, pumpkins, corn cannons, inflatables and others are simple
corn mazes with little else. Most also have loads of pumpkins to choose from. To really make it
fun for your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a
corn cannon, cow train, inflatables, farm animals, pumpkin patch or zip lines. There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of
course, the more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free. A LWAYS call before you go
to confirm whether they are open this year and any requirements, they don't always report changes to me, and many closed permanently due to the covid lockdowns!

"Field of Screams" October 27th through October 31st, 7 pm to
10 pm. Directions: The Patch and Corn Maze is visible from
Interstate 80 and most easily reached from I80. Use exit 106
and proceed north one half (1/2) mile. If from Des Moines
that will be a right turn at the top of the exit 106 ramp.
Turn right or east on 350th street, which is gravel, and
travel again for one half (1/2) Mile. Turn right on the dead
end. The road naturally curves left at this point; be sure to
turn right here and do not take the curve. The patch is at
the end of the road.

Open: The Corn Maze is open from August through the end of
October. Pumpkinville is open mid September through the end
of October, Hours are daily, 10:00 am to last entry into corn
maze with flashlights at 8:00 pm. Directions: We are located 12 miles east
of Des Moines, Iowa. From Des Moines take I-80 east to exit 149. Go
south on Cotton. Take the first left (east)onto 6th Avenue. Go to
the stop sign, you should be at Center Avenue. Take a right (south)
on Center and follow it all the way through town. We are two blocks
south of Caseys General Store. And for a map to our farm,
click here. We have two corn mazes. Both of the mazes
are challenge mazes, you have to do more than "just" walk through
them. The mini-maze is free, has seven challenges in it, is designed
for youngsters, and takes about 15 minutes to complete. The Big Maze
is over 20 acres, contains 20 challenges. Picnic area is available.
Campfires sites can be booked for your use. We get the fire ready
and provide spears for your roasting needs. Field trips for schools,
daycares, business team building events, birthday parties and many
other types of groups can be scheduled. We do spring "garden" field
